2024: Looking back at our special Silver Jubilee Year

The International Institute of Mass Media (IIMM) in Delhi has had a remarkable year in 2024, marked by significant achievements in academic excellence, infrastructure development, industry collaborations, and student success.

Academic Excellence and Program Expansion

IIMM Delhi continues to offer a diverse range of programs tailored to the evolving media landscape. The flagship programs include the Bachelor’s in Journalism and Mass Communication (BJMC), Master’s in Journalism and Mass Communication (MJMC), and various diploma courses in Advertising, Public Relations, Marketing, and Digital Marketing. These programs are designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills, ensuring they are well-prepared for the dynamic media industry.

2024 marks the launching of a few new Diploma and Certificate courses that are tailored as per the need of the evolving media industry and are perfect for students and professionals looking to upskill.

Industry Collaborations and Achievements

IIMM Delhi has strengthened its industry connections through collaborations with esteemed organizations. Notably, continuing partnerships with the London School of Digital Business and Skyline University College in Sharjah have been established, providing students with international exposure and opportunities for academic exchange. Additionally, collaborations with Shobhit University for Academics & trainings and platforms like Trell and Internshala have facilitated internships and practical training for students, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements.

Lately IIMM Delhi has signed an MOU with Bharat News Network for industry training, internships and placements.

In recognition of its commitment to excellence in media education, IIMM Delhi was honored with 2 awards at the India Elite Education and Institutional Excellence Awards & Conference 2024. The categories in which we have excelled are:

Student Achievements and Placement Success

The success of IIMM Delhi's students is reflected in our placement statistics for 2024. Over 90% of students secured positions in reputable companies. This achievement is a testament to the institute's effective placement cell and its efforts to prepare students for successful careers in the media industry.

Furthermore, students have actively participated in various events and competitions, showcasing their talents and skills. For instance, there were several workshops conducted ranging from core areas like Digital Media to diverse areas like Basic Life Support in which our students showed keen interest.

Community Engagement and Cultural Activities

IIMM Delhi places a strong emphasis on holistic development, encouraging students to engage in cultural societies and community activities. Events such as 'Panache' provide platforms for students to showcase their talents, fostering a vibrant campus life. These activities not only enhance students' interpersonal skills but also instill a sense of community and collaboration. After the successful Silver Jubilee edition of Panache in March 2024, students remained active particularly in the music and theatre clubs and also actively participated in Jagran Film festival 2024.

Infrastructure Development

This year, IIMM Delhi has made significant investments in enhancing its infrastructure to provide students with state-of-the-art facilities. The fully functional studio for photography and videography, and modern classrooms designed to facilitate interactive learning have been upgraded. These developments aim to create an environment conducive to comprehensive media education.
